Voting privacy

Voting is currently in setup. Preview comparisons do not save preferences.

What counted voting stores

Google sign-in confirms an account and verified email. The application derives a pseudonymous voter identifier from the Google account ID. It does not retain your email, name, Google access token or ID token. An HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days.

We store assigned drawing pairs, your A/B/Tie/Cannot judge choices, timestamps, experiment versions and moderation status. Choices are linked to the pseudonymous identifier to enforce duplicate and contribution limits. This is pseudonymous, not fully anonymous data.

Abuse controls and providers

Cloudflare hosts the site, database and Turnstile verification. Google provides account sign-in. The application uses short-lived, keyed network identifiers for request limits instead of retaining raw IP addresses in its own database. Cloudflare and Google may process data under their own policies. This page describes application storage, not those providers’ complete processing.

Retention and deletion

Expired sessions and short-lived request-limit records are cleaned during sign-in. Account identifiers, assignments and vote records are retained until the site owner manually deletes them; there is no automatic deletion period for those records. Before public voting opens, the owner must publish a working contact channel and provide a way to request deletion. Public voting stays disabled until that launch preparation is complete.
